Mum and I love any sort of crafting and we have been doing so for many years. I love Scrapbooking, Cardmaking and making Jewellery, which I started back in 2003. I started making candles, novelty soaps and bath bombs in January 2018. I love candles and have been purchasing them from well known candle companies since the early 90’s. Over the last few years I found that the candles were going up in price and the quality was not good, many candles I purchased either tunnelled or had no fragrance, especially when burning. So, I started to make my own and absolutely loved the scent throw, I love strong candles. The first fragrance I made was French Pear and it was divine, a friend visited that day and was in love with it, she asked where I bought it because she wanted one. When she found out I made it, she had to have it and told me that I need to sell them, so here we are today, three years later. Now onto my mum, she is 75, loves to sew and quilt and has also been doing this for a very long time, she makes pillows, bags, quilts and knee rugs just to name a few. My mum hand stitches all her applique and her work is exceptional, as you will see in the close up pictures. In sewing classes she had some ladies wanting her to finish some of their work. We were encouraged by family and friends to sell our handmade items and here we are. Our creations are generally one offs, other than candles.
